FAQs

What are the different types of collection available on the net?

The two main types are membership and downloads. Membership sites are ones you join and are then given access to the design collection online. Download collections are bought on the net with a one-time payment and you are immediately sent a link to download the collection package. This is then stored on your pc.

How do I know which are the best sites?

A good quality site will have a good online reputation. See what their users say. If you are looking for a specific type of tattoo like Celtic for instance, make sure they have plenty of designs in that category first. Look at the designs on the website. And of course, check out our reports!

If I choose a tattoo design from a popular website/collection won’t I have the same tattoo as lots of other people?

Most sites/collections have thousands of designs so it’s pretty unlikely you’ll be on the beach sitting next to a guy with a matching tattoo from the same site. If you are really after a unique design, see the next question.

I want an original design that nobody else has. How can I find one on the web?

Find 2 or 3 that are similar and combine the features that you love most about each. You don’t even need to draw it out. Take it to your artist, get his opinion about the design and how well it will go together, and he will do the hard part of drawing it out for you. Many people use the net for tattoo ideas in this way.

How do I show my artist the design I want if it’s on the net or my pc?

All quality collections, memberships or downloads have a print option. This lets you enlarge and print off any designs you want. Pin them up or take them to your artist. If you don’t have a printer or you’re out of color ink, go to an internet café and print there.

Are the bonuses really worth having?

If they are not tattoo related, usually no. If they are then sometimes yes, sometimes no. For many newbies extras such as aftercare ebooks can be pretty useful. Make sure you check out what they are first and whether you will use then. Don’t just go for a collection that has the most bonuses.

If there are thousands of designs, how can I find the ones that interest me?

Almost all big collections have different categories like Tribal, Scorpion and Butterfly. Some, such as Chopper, have different search options like size or color.

What’s the point of a discussion forum?

If you want a second opinion or to get advice, discussion forums can be really useful. They are also a great way to meet enthusiasts with the same passion.

Can I get my money back if I am not satisfied?

Almost always yes, but check first before paying anything if you’re not sure.

How can I pay?

The most common payment method is through Paypal or with most credit cards.

How safe is it paying on the internet?

These days it is very safe. All the sites reviewed on TattooDesignReport.com use third party secure payment websites like Paypal or Clickbank. These are well established companies that specialise in secure online transactions. You never need to pay anyone or give your bank/credit card details to any tattoo site directly.

How often do I have to pay if I join a membership site?

Most sites offer you different options such as monthly or lifetime membership. Though, they obviously cost more, lifetime membership is usually much better value.
